Sunglasses: what to look for on the label

A pair of sunglasses should carry the CE marking and state its UV protection. Be wary of anyone who does not declare it.

The lens category (0 to 4) tells how much light is filtered: the higher the number, the darker the lens. Category 4 is not suitable for driving.

Lens colour alone does not indicate the level of protection: a light lens can protect from UV as much as a dark one, if stated.

On each product page we show category and protection only when the data is verified.
